Arabica beans are hard to grow and require a lot of care and attention. These beans are mostly grown at altitudes of at least 3,000 feet. The difficulty to grow these beans pays off with the taste they provide. It is also this reason that gourmet coffees cost a little more than coffees sold in bulk in grocery stores.
